SNOOZIN', BOOZIN' 'n' CRUSIN''!

O r
NOWAT writing with Champagne on ice...
So Nice!

This note was to be a short one about a sleepy day that was more recovery and renewal than anything else.

It was also thought to be time to talk about the other lovely folks We4 met during cocktail  Hour and around the ship.
It was supposed to be short but...
Wellllll, Just read on.

We've already mentioned our Newest NOWAT subscribers from the UK, Diane & Adam, who heard of the NOWAT in conversation and asked for the link, especially since they had been promised a Guest Starring Role, somewhere along the way, remember the metal straw?  Aside from her always being so classy and stylishly attired, He ROCKS a Bat Wing tuxedo, like... SERIOUSLY!

Then there is Jennifer Bauer and Mark Davis, she a P.A. In Dermatology, He an Internal Generalist at a hospital in Richmond, Va.  A really outgoing, energetic couple {Look up "Type A" in Webster' Dictionary and there is Jennifer’s picture-Front & Profile!}
We first met them when Jennifer spotted Chucky's T-shirt with a quote from Tyrian Lannister, a character in:
HBO's - GAME of THRONES:

{a Christmas gift from Chucky's daughter-in Law - a serious "G o T" fan}.
Jennifer and Mark are also big "G o T" fans, and that started the conversation, that was to continue throughout the cruise.

Next was Gary and Julie from of all places, Guernsey, that delightful little Channel Island in the English Channel that We4 had visited during BRITANNIA 2017, which started another conversation, to last the rest of the cruise.

Some lively discourse occurred amongst all of these VERY interesting and entertaining folks at various meetings along the way, and it made for a very enjoyable, if not, enlightening cruise.

BUT WAIT...There's More!!!

Yesterday,  just prior to our 2nd visit to Kotor, We4 were invited to a special cocktail reception, usually reserved for Elite and Suites cruisers {it gets Curious-ser and Curious-ser} where the Hotel Director , a very classy Gentleman Antonio (Tony) Muresu, Invites them to a Captains’ Table traditionally held on a Sea Day Formal Night {Today}.

And who do we find at the dinner this evening...
Why, Diane & Adam, Jennifer & Mark, Gary & Julie, along with the Guests Services Director Martina & her Mother, and our cordial Host, Tony and his lovely wife.
Just the right mix for a beautiful 4 course dinner with delightful wines, Lively conversation and great camaraderie.
Chucky Note: Martina, a native Venetian had called Chucky’s cabin out of the blue on their return from cruise #1 offering to explain the back to back cruise process for getting new cards, getting off and back on the ship with new SeaPass cards as well as advice on what to do in Venice between cruises.  Yup, Curious-ser and Curious-ser.

What was to prove an Elegant Event started with a Champagne toast and a lovely Amuse Bouche of Pates and tartlets presented by Executive Chef Jai Kumar Bhasin. Next, either, Shrimp Cocktail [seriously BIG Shrimp, Truffle infused cream of Wild Mushrooms soup, or Baby Spinach Leaf Salad, followed by a choice of stellar entrees:
Lobster  Thermidore, Giant Bacon wrapped Filet Mignon topped with melted Bleu Cheese, Salmon Grenebloise, Penne with Shrimp and Boccaccini or Vegetable Struiddle, ending with an exotic dessert: Trio of Chocolate, each  bite better than the preceding one.
All of this mind bending array of Heavenly Delights was topped off with elegant coffees, cappuccino and a selection of after dinner liqueurs and Cognacs.

Nobody wanted it to end, especially, it seemed, or host Tony but by Midnight, it was time to let the staff get on with setting the dining room for tomorrow, so with lots of Baci-Baci, Hug-Hug and a hearty Grazie Mille to Tony for a FABULOUS evening, all retired to their respective devices, cabins, casino or whatevah!

Tomorrow is the Very Early, much anticipated visit to SANTORINI.  Can't Wait!

Contrary to scurrilous rumors:
Donkey's MAY be involved!

Ciao 4 Now
