A two Part
Report
First: The
STUFF.
HE sets the
Scene.
It’s the
day before blast off and HE is still poking around trying to figure out what is
missing.
“Unhhh,
where’s the makeup bag?”
“Still not
finished.”
“As Pope Julius cried often to Michelangelo,
‘When Will IT Be Done?’, or sumpin’ like that.”
“‘When IT is finished’, was his and MY response.”
And so went
the final stages of the Packing Ballet.
Which, for
the most part, was not much of a Ballet as in the past.
Truth be
told, SHE, thanks to Pre-sort and several trip experience’s, had it all on the
bed, he had it all in the bag, and just 2 items went back, until… he realized
she was sooooo good this time, he had room for more.
“Oh no
Joe… say it ain't so.”
{Baseball buffs get that one}
So of
course, she obliged with a small pile of :
“Por si Acaso” {Translation: Just in case} of which
he obliged half.
Soooo, Monday
night, a day ahead of schedule, just because they were both getting antsy, they
eased into the routine and VOILA they were DONE!!! Including the Fabled Blow Dryer.
Well…
almost. You just know he had to tweak
this and re-arrange that and… well, it all fit…Sorta.
The test
will come when they get to TSA PreCheck and the lovely TSA agent says,
“Unhhh sir,
please place THAT bag in the sizer.”
{Since this
is written as a two in one post, we'll just have to wait till the DEPARTURE
DRAMA to see the results}
Oh… and one
minor DRAMA issue occurred Monday morning when he logged into his Outlook to
check email and stuff.
For some reason,
his Personal email: clmerc... was not receiving, which is VERY important because all his
other Alias’ forward into it, including the Gmail he uses for travel notes and NOWAT***ALERTS***, to keep the incoming email noise down, because believe it or
not, sometimes ATT Mail hiccups on the ship and some places in Europe. At least
it did prior to their dumping Yahoo-Mail as a general server.
This incurred
3+hours on the phone with AT&T
NON-tech service
Including 7
dropped calls and agents plus 3 different agencies, to straighten it out, a
story Waaaay longer than we have room, or patience to repeat here. Suffice it to say, HE got it fixed for now…They
just bumbled around.
Well, it
seems that this got longer [gee ya think] than planned so we guess that the
DEPARTURE DRAMA will actually get penned on the Plane. Which was the plan all
along, HE just thought he could get a jump on it.
Besides,
the Scotch is getting low in his glass, just another excuse to stretch and head
to the Kitchen for a refill before heading to join the Dragon Lady in Nonny-Nonny land.
Tomorrow will be an interesting day… no Doubt.
Ciao 4 Now
Uncle Chuck & The
Proud of her sorting skills,
Dragon Lady
Have fun...It does seem like this was a lot easier than the last trip! :)
